I saw this twice in my life though it was from pretty benign activities. Both required surgery and both had a nice Robocop arm thingy for at least a month afterwards followed by physio. One guy did it arm wrestling a girl FFS!

I fell over my two staffies who slept on the steps of my elevated house in Darwin (it was dark). I managed to grab the rail but was falling fast enough to rip out the tendon that connected my bicep to my shoulder. Not sure if it was one or two tendons. Surgery and 3 months of physio fixed it. Really fucked me up...
