Don't know if there's speed limits in that country but the bike was prob doin twice what it should have been. As for the car, if only there was some way it could have signaled it's intention to turn the biker might have had a chance.
I ride bikes, and this shit happens far too often. No one pays attention enough to notice you most of the time. I have been almost hit countless times.

Ah yes, the dreaded left turn. This is one of the very few causes of accident for motorcyclists that is almost completely beyond their control. Most most other types of causes, as far as I can tell, the motorcyclist either contributed to the accident or could have done something to avoid it.
