After reading the backstory it's yet another example of when a selfish controlling partner (usually the woman , sorry to say but it's true) uses a child, or pet , or property to fuck with the other person.. and to Hell with any consequences or if the child, pet, or property is damaged from their selfish behavior. Definitely not the first time I've seen a pet killed over a power play in a relationship.
