Best mouse in the world ever. I still have one somewhere as backup from around 2002.

  • GPU: NVidia GeForce GTX Titan 6GB
  • CPU: i7 3930K 3.2GHz hex-core
  • RAM: 16GB Kingston Low-Voltage DDR3 1600MHz
  • Mobo: Asus P9X79 Deluxe (room for 2nd SLi Titan later)
  • Sound Card: Creative Sound Blaster Recon3D Fatal1ty Champion PCI-E
  • HD: Two Samsung 840 Pro 512GB SATA 6GB/s SSDs in RAID 0 (1.024 TB)
  • Media: Blu-Ray/DVD burner/reader/rewriter
  • PSU: Corsair Professional Series HX1050 (over-wattage in case 2nd GPU in future)
  • Case: Corsair Obsidian Series 650D
  • Misc: extra case fan(s), thermal compound, sound-dampening acoustic liner, CPU liquid cooler, etc.
  • OS: Windows 7 Ultimate
  • 1 TB external HD for backup
  • monitor's 1920 x 1080, just the one (already owned)
That's gonna cost me almost $5,000, including shipping for all the crap. Should run everything in the entire universe on Ultra settings at 60 FPS on my monitor.

Does anyone except D.O.A. and Lizard King know what I'm talking about here? utley perhaps? Comments? Suggestions? Vituperations?
I think the Titan is an overpriced piece of hardware that I can easily replicate by combining my GTX680 with another GTX680 for half the price. You do know that the 2011 sockets dont support PCI 3.0, right? No big deal if you arent running in SLI, BUT IF YOU ARE, you can expect a 50% decrease in performance at least. Probably best if you install everything yourself too, that way you can save about 2000 bucks in overhead. Also, running SSDs in RAID-0 isnt necessary. The processor and memory speed can barely keep up with a single SSD, and the only benefit you get from them is decreased loading time.

And before anybody says that the 2011 socket motherboards ship with PCI-3.0, its the processor that doesnt support it yet. Only Ivy Bridge up to 3770k support 3.0.

Heres mine.

Aw shit son, is that an Obutto? I see the Thrustmaster Warthog, CH Products pedals, a couple of MFDs, throttle quadrant (not sure which brand), a center keypad, and is that a trackball/keyboard? And a TrackIR and a huge TV?

Doesn't get much fancier than that, not unless you build some kind of ostentatious 'pit or put hydraulics on there. That looks like about $13,000-$16,000 worth of stuff, including the sound system and depending on the cost of the TV/computer.

This is the first time in all my time in the "gore community" that I've been impressed by someone else's setup. All most of the faggots here do is play Cawwadoody on their PS3s. You sure you didn't steal that off some simmer forum?

Anyway, I fucking hate SLi with a passion. It always fucks up in the most annoying ways, a little too frequently for my taste. Lights shining through characters and scenery, weird micro-stutter issues, straight-up incompatibility with some games, etc.

Notice the buttkicker under the seat! Took me a long time to get this pit put together, probably around 7 years or so. That throttle quadrant is CH as well, I use it mostly for FSX when Im flying civil aviation. I had it set up with touch buddies once upon a time.

touch buddies

lol fag

Also my estimate was way off before, not sure what happened. I'm guessing $1000 for the Obutto (incl. shipping), $400 for the Warthog pair, $100 for the pedals, $150 for the two MFDs, $100 for the trackball keyboard, $50 for the keypad, about $100 for your mouse and keyboard, $150 for TrackIR, $50 for the LEDs, $100 for the throttle quadrant, $500-1000 for your speaker system (there a receiver with that? If so, another $500), $1000 for the TV, $2,000 for the CPU, and what, $500-1000 for the hydraulics?

So $6000-8000, depending on how far off I am on the TV. Not bad considering what you get for the price.

Its just the Obutto oZone cockpit with an added flight stick accessory, 500 bucks total after S&H. Got the Warthog off of Egay for 350, the CH crap Ive had for years, so I forgot how much...they sell them at Microcenter for around 125 for each of them, the TM MFDs set me back a whopping 70 bucks. The big blocky keyboard is an X-key 58 keys, running at 185 + S&H, the speaker system is a Logitech Z5500 bought used on amazon for 300 bones, the buttkicker was 90 bucks. The monitor is just an HDTV 45" that you can get at best buy for 500 bucks. LED strips are cheap as hell if you are willing to feng shue the fact I bought them at Pep Boys for 8 bucks...

Now my computer is kind of a bargain basement mutant.
Intel 2600k on sale for 200 when I bought it
Corsair 750w not-so-modular modular psu @ 150
Coolermaster HSF @ 35 bucks
Gigabyte UD3 x68 mobo @ 90 bucks
Corsair Carbide 400r case at 99 bucks (upgraded since pic was taken)
OCZ Agility 3 SSD 256gb SATA 6mb @ 165 on sale
3x WD Caviar Black HDD, 1tb each, 350 total
Corsair Vengeance 16gb DDR3 1600 @ 60 bucks
eVGA GTX680 4096mb at $560
Panasonic BluRay Burner @ $100
Microsoft ergonomic keyboard and Razer DeathAdder 3.5 @ $100 (have carpal tunnel from all the porn I watch since Im fucking single....who knew?)

About 2400 bucks for the accesssories, about 1900 bucks for the computer...thank god for the job at Lockheed! Could have spent that money on my private pilots license, but Im a retard. :rage: Dont even get me started on all of the addons I have for FSX, X Plane 10, and DCS.
