Yes the girl was wrong in chasing people around with a knife but can we talk about tasers and alternative methods of disabling the bad guy especially in situations like this. I blame the parents I mean even her dad was kicking a girl in the head right before his daughter was shot. Wouldn't you as a good parent be trying to de escalte the situation. You're teaching your kids to be violent and hurt others and this is what happens. Not blaming the officer at all. Shit is fucked up all around. That 16 year old girl knew right and wrong and paid for it. Teach your kids better this shit won't happen.

In this case, there was no time for Taser
The Taser needs to be aimed precisely and you have only one shot that either uses it or not (because not everyone stops the taser)
In this quick situation if the policeman doesn't shoot the woman, she will stab the other woman, maybe to death
The policeman did the right thing by shooting the knife attacker
I would shoot all the knife attackers to death: the knife is not a toy, it can even stab a fatal wound or someone can be crippled for life

The cop didn't have time for playing around with that Nerf shit. Did you not see where the knife was when he fired? Pepper spray wouldn't have stopped her from stabbing and tasers are nowhere near as reliable as people seem to think they are. The gun was the right tool for that job.
