Camels: ungainly, uncivilised, not pretty, and prone to spitting.

I used to drive yearly from Darwin to Melbourne right through areas in central Aus at night time where this scenario was always possible. I've had these animals come right up to my camp at dusk until they got my scent and ran off. Led by a bull which is like a big bull tarus only on stilts, he looked mighty impressive. We have 2 million or so feral camels over here... we export them to Saudi...
