Canadian legal system is very nice to criminals, the liberal catch and release program makes it so that if for example someone is beaten to a pulp within an inch of losing their life, the police will take down the perp's details and release them back into the public same or next day then expecting them to play by the honor system and appear in court at a set future date. here's an example....

The vehicle entered the street where people were attending a Filipino community festival just after 8 p.m.

Vancouver police say a car crash into a crowd during a festival is not yet being treated as a terrorist attack.

They also reported that the culprit of the tragedy had been detained; he is a 30-year-old local resident.

The attacker who drove throw a crowd in Vancouver Lapu Lapu festival:

"I’m Sorry"

A released video shows that the attacker was driving carelessly prior to the incident.

The police confirmed that the incident occurred around 8 PM (local time) at E. 41st Avenue and Fraser Street, during the Lapu Lapu Day celebrations.

Current reported death toll is 8, while 6 others are in hospitals in critical condition.

The driver was driving through the festival until the car broke down.
