animals Caveman Instinct Kicked In

The last major ice age only just ended, so as a species we have lived less than 1% of our entire existence in this post-"cave man" time. My personal opinion has always been that we are still cave men, we just ran out of caves. The substitute is building a cave, we call them houses. Made of clay bricks and limestone mortar, they are chemically identical to caves... even heated with our old friend fire - who we hide away in a boiler or hot water tank, but rest assured, still there nonetheless. Even our befriended wolf, now a domestic dog, still guards the perimiter. And instead of a spear, we have a gun, the job to poke a hole in an intruder still the same. We have to tell our children not to draw on the walls, as if the inherent desire to depict figures and ideas on the wall was unusual, when we know it's perfectly normal, modern cave paintings.
