I have watched Pawn stars a few times, i had a pawn shop for 6 years. That Rick that 'runs' the place has not a single f*cking idea of what it is that's brought into the shop, everything military, coins, art, autograph's, diamonds, collectibles etc etc he has to send out for a specialist to come and 'value and authenticate' the stuff. Can you imagine that, if it was your business? He never learns anything, he basically has no idea. The other 2 i wouldn't let them buy or sell anything worth more than a dollar, (Chumlee and big Hoss Corey).

Pawn shops are the WORST place you can sell something (unless you have a raging habit and need cash instantly),they are going to try and give you about 10/15% of the retail value .Most of the people in that show are just actors and the 'deals' have been set up ages before the actual selling.And as for the fat retards who own and work in the shop, they are never actually there in the shop, they only 'work' there when they film an episode of the SHOW.
