Police chase sees K9 attacking officer and suspect almost flattened
Video from a police chase in Escambia County, Florida, shows a suspect crashing his sedan into an SUV that was stuck in traffic after speeding on an interstate.

"A chaotic police chase saw a K9 mistakenly attacking an officer and the suspect nearly flattened by an 18-wheel truck before he was arrested.
Officials with the Florida Highway Patrol say Isaiah Jamal Collie, 23, was traveling at more than 130mph on Interstate 10 in Escambia County on April 18.
In the ensuing police chase, video shows Collie crashing his white Infiniti sedan into an SUV that was stuck in traffic on a nearby road — prompting the suspect to run back to the interstate, where he was almost struck by a semi-truck while trying to avoid an oncoming patrol car.
Shortly after, police tackled Collie and handcuffed him behind his back. An ensuing search of his vehicle turned up two guns and 6.6 ounces of marijuana, police said.
Dramatic video of the police chase posted online showed a white Infiniti traveling on the right shoulder of Interstate 10, speeding past trucks that stayed in the lane.
As the patrol car approached the vehicle, the driver pulled onto the grassy median, causing the highway patrol officer to drive right past the vehicle.

When the officer tried to make a U-turn to get back to him, the suspect continued to drive forward.
Soon, other police vehicles could be seen trying to catch up with the speeding vehicle — which managed to create a distance between it and the patrol cars.
Eventually, Collie could be seen taking an off-ramp to Nine Mile Road, where he made a left turn at a red light.
In an apparent attempt to dodge traffic at another light, the driver again veered off the road — but this time, he lost control of the vehicle and T-boned an SUV stopped at the light.
Patrol officers said in a report obtained by WKRG the passenger of the car was injured and transported to the hospital in the aftermath.
Collie's vehicle was also left with a damaged front bumper, as car parts could be seen strewn along the road.
At that point, a man in a hoodie — who was later identified as Collie — got out of the vehicle and started running up a hill as his beat-up car continued to thrust forward.
An officer attempted to follow the suspect, but is instead was attacked by one of the Highway Patrol's German Shepherds.
Another patrol car followed Collie up the hill and through a grassy patch until he again reached I-10 and tried to run across the highway.
The suspect could be seen falling to the ground as the patrol car caught up to him, and he tumbled away into a grassy median — just before a semi-truck came barreling along the interstate.
Collie continued to run across the highway, but this time, cops were caught up to him and tackled him.
Officers dragged Collie to his feet and handcuffed him behind his back, before leading him into the back of a patrol car where he started complaining that his arm was injured.
'My arm, my arm, man,' Collie tells the officer leading him into the vehicle. 'I feel like I'm going to die, c'mon please help me.'

'The driver of the Infiniti was operating the vehicle in a willful and wanton disregard to the safety of the motoring public,' Highway Patrol officers wrote in its arrest report.
