Random Dad Is Correct

Guessing you people have never heard Johnny Cash' A boy named Sue.

Let him have his bag, sure, kids are bullies, but kids are also tough enough to deal with that. Or it will toughen them up and they learn. Also, lots of kids don't even care, so it will be fine.

It's so important that parents accept you for who you are. Daddy dear is basically telling his kid to pretend, because HE has a problem with it. He is not accepting the choice of a 4 year old.

I am team mom on this one. It's his choice. Just get the football bag as a back up.
you'd send your 4 year old boy to school with a pink bag then??

I'm with the dad.
Let the son make a choice when he is older.. When everyone can TELL that he is totally camp b4 he even knows.

So if you’re mildly retarded then social status and standing won’t matter to you. Got it.
Mildly retarded, really? My PhD would indicate otherwise, among other things. How many languages, other than your mother language, do you speak, being a non retard like yourself?

I mean, we can agree to disagree, which is of no surprise really, but there is a difference between a disorder and retardation.

But yeah, I feel that being overly concerned with what 'the neighbours' will think is not what life is about. I also think that guiding your child in this world, preparing them for it, means letting them fall and find out. Be it within situations that aren't life threatening ofcourse. Like this one.

For all your education and languages, you’re still missing the social aspect, the societal acceptance of choices. A 4 yr old doesn’t understand this, and relies on their parents to guide them.

So for that, yes I’d say your autism is mildly retarding you here.

I am dead serious here, but why do we feel the need to confirm to what society think is right for us in trivial things like a bag or clothing? I get wearing a clown suit not being okay at a funeral ofcourse, but really, it's a kid who likes pink. Next year he likes blue, whatever.

If everyone just accepts the opinion of the majority on these silent agreement things, we go back to the times when ladies weren't allowed to wear pants.

I understand and agree there are lots of things children don't yet understand, they need our guidance, but this? I really don't see how this can be something that makes people mad and obviously rude as well.

Social norms change over time, things come into and out of vogue, and it’s always been that way. A boy taking a pink backpack isn’t going to change society’s behavior towards him for it, why make him a martyr?

There was some openly gay kid raised by by a pinkhaired single mom who killed himself at 9 years old because he was being bullied. Some women think real life is just like hollywood/social media where fags are worshipped. kid is lucky to have a dad

I remember at a local Puja event i was participate in "go as you like" my mother tell me to wear a sari(women dress) and do basic stuff like a house wife does.....i did not develop thinking process to how like something(at that time i like tech and internet...i spend 200 rupees to watch a bikini car wash video using Nokia java mobile)....also in that competition another guy win....he dress up as jesus and do crucifixion....so war start at home at very small age(I was 10 to 12 maybe)

something
Plus complex things like this kind of example wearing a oposite gender dress

Can't really blame her for not having the mental facilities to process the influence of not explaining your culture to a child and what your culture thinks is normal and what is not

Also kinda important to remember - the endless stream of putrid shit being beamed to your device is not your culture - it's an algorithm created ti maximize engagement - there are people who know how to exploit it well and do so

Touch grass

The dad is correct. This isn't only about a father not wanting his son to own a pink backpack. The kid would be in for a number of unfortunate circumstances that he couldn't have foreseen -- because he's 4 years old.

At this age he needs parents who will make the better decision for him, when his decision isn't advantageous to his well being.

Not only that, the father doesn't want the hassle, and A-fucking-MEN to that. No father wants to attend a teacher conference where he'll be forced to sit and hear the words..."We'd like to discuss with you, this incident about your son's pink backpack..". Fuck that mom....and then fuck that mom!
