I didn't used to think fecal transplants were a real thing but, Fecal Microbiota Transplantation (FMT) is absolutely a real thing & supposedly it's a scientifically validated medical procedure even if still considered only experimental in the US. I just don't know why doctors would have to do it via colonoscopy &/or endoscopy or even an enema since you can do it using oral capsules which are better known as "poop pills" & that's way less invasive.
