Did anyone actually enjoy Cyberpunk?

I picked a character, played it completely start to finish and haven't touched it since. I only bought it 2 years ago though. It was fun but got repetitive in many ways. The style was cool but when you begin to notice how little variation there actually is the immersion fades quite a bit.

I am way behind on that stuff. I don't spend much time on games but I still play Fallout 4 with mods so that should give you an indication...

For anyone who has bought or played the game, do you think it was worth the money? I played it personally and it was horrible, besides the bugs the game was just horrible such as the storyline.
I thought it was good the exspansion makes it way better storyline wise

The perk system was overhauled since last time you played it may be worth another punt

I was super hyped for the game then it hit to disastrous reviews so I waited a couple of months and got it on clearance for $20. Then waited a few more months until it got a few patches then played it and enjoyed it quite a bit. I haven't had a desire to return to it but it's a solid 8/10 game imo. Funny now that it has gotten better via patches new copies that were once in the bargain bin and couldn't be given away are now $70 again.

I liked the setting of cyberpunk 2077 and the Graphics, the Style, Voice acting, was all good BUT for some reason it was not... interesting enough... as example, i think skyrim is much better... also the Witcher 3 is alot better... but if you like rainy bladerunner-esk settings and maybe have 3D glasses... you can have fun but you need a halfway decent machine to run it. gtx3060 or something...

I tried it again very recently. I got about 15% through and gave up. It was fun enough the first time but just bored the shit out of me the last. Considering I played Witcher 3 through twice with a nearly complete third attempt that is telling for myself at least. Witcher takes forever when you get to the DLC as well. The developer could have done better. I am now waiting for Fallout 5 to be released in 2040 or whatever. Fuck Bethesda, damn.

idk i watched the sex scene cause i was into john wick at the time

Cyberpunk is very enjoyable however u need some time ingame to feel the world and like some of the other npcs, also you will be stronger by time

I was initially gassed-up on prelease hype, disappointed because of the immediate flood of bugs, and have since decided I'll only play it once we're actually in the year 2077.

Probably not that crazy of a decision given even top-of-the-line hardware still struggles running it at full settings. Not sure how easy it'll be to run it on hardware 50 years in the future though, console emulation has gone a long way but emulating entire PC processor architectures (PPC, SPARC, etc) still isn't quite there.

When I got it on ps4 day one it was really bad. It’s now slowly growing on me plus I bought another copy for Switch 2. It’s actually pretty good these days.

I played through it twice, in 2023 and 2024. I tried to complete the game in 2021 but gave up. But it was trendy among friends, so I barely managed to finish it in 2023. I played through it again in 2024 after the massive DLC, Phantom Liberty, was released. I found the cyberpunk setting boring, with long conversations and a completely concrete world, meaning no destructibility, no variety. Even the first GTA had planes, helicopters, fighter jets, grenade launchers, rocket launchers, Stingers, tanks, and armored vehicles. None of that is here. The game also has the same huge drawback that all RPGs have: it's tough to play on hard difficulty at the beginning levels, but once you've acquired the necessary talents, it becomes very easy. Overall, it's an acquired taste. I played Cyberpunk purely with bladed weapons, katanas and witcher swords, and it actually becomes fun to play; playing with firearms is boring.

In my opinion, it's better to play Skyrim or Fallout

Well...here we are. About 5 years after you posted your question.

With all updates, dlc and added content, plus some new features i'd say it is a pretty solid game.
