There was a study done recently, don't ask me for the source bc I don't remember who said this, but it turns out the vast majority of users on most websites on the internet are bots. There was one group of bots deployed by the Chinese communist government whose sole purpose was to spread political decent in Western Nations and promote communism. They outnumbered real users and always downvoted any real humans who spoke out against them. Eventually most real humans, who were ignorant of the bot's presence, simply believed the majority of what the bots were saying. It is no suprise then that brain-rot levels of insanity began seeping into the real world - politicians believing fake polls, created by fake people, under the guise they were doing the will of their constituency when in reality they were performing the will of a malicious rival whose goal was always to sew chaos. Who's to say you or I have not gotten to know countless people online who aren't real. To anyone real watching our conversations we would indeed look like retards - like children yelling at a TV scream expecting the characters in a movie to act differently.

Unsure about the US or UK but here in Aus about 30% of the population has a degree.

I'm not saying having a degree is the have all or be all but you do learn critical thinking and you do get a much broader education and are more able to sift the wheat from the chaff.

Having said that, I know plenty of people who have a degree who are as dumb as dog shit. And alas our universities have dumbed down and have become degree factories now so there is that argument too.

Now how they got to this point I have no idea but I'd imagine it was from a mixture of 'computer virus' and paranoia about Covid vaccines and just plain stupidity.

I used to think everyone was as smart as I was but no longer think that. Now I just think that giving everyone the vote no matter how smart they are maybe not so smart...

I learned far more after university than I did during it. An example of people remaining retarded after graduation, I present to you a story of one of my coworkers. Holder of a doctorate degree in Anesthesiology, she yelled at her husband one day for "not paying the IRS" so she had to do it for him - she withdrew $40,000 from their joint savings account - purchased bitcoin, and then wired it to "the IRS". She told him this after already losing all the money. It was a scam of course. She also gave away all their personal information including social security and credit card numbers - in one phone call. The husband nearly divorced her.
