A Kentucky man described as a disgruntled former board member by the CEO of a family adventure park allegedly went on a rampage with a skid steer, causing an estimated $750,000 in damage.

Police say 76-year-old Roy Spiker, the co-owner of Treasure Trove Park, is facing charges after a civil dispute on Saturday afternoon turned violent. The family adventure park located in Cave City features a variety of attractions, including an animal sanctuary, life-size animated dinosaurs and gem mining.

Witnesses told police Spiker used a skid steer to flip over at least three vehicles then drove it towards another man’s house on the property. Cave City Police Chief Paul Reynolds says the homeowner, who knows Spiker, fired shots at him, but no one was injured.

Treasure Trove CEO Michael Barrick, who goes by Tuck, described Spiker as a “person in a rage.” He says in addition to flipping vehicles, the suspect stole the skid steer and tore out the animal sanctuary’s fencing. He estimates at least $750,000 worth of damages.

According to Barrick, Spiker is a former member of the board who didn’t agree with some of the views and values of the company and became disgruntled.

Spiker was booked into the Barren County Detention Center. Reynolds says he will be charged with eight counts of wanton endangerment and three counts of criminal mischief.

'Wanton endangerment' .. Is that when someone partakes in 'whimsical tomfoolery'? I'm sure they could use a better term for that charge.
Interesting issue - I checked and "wanton" has contrasting meanings, from "deliberate, unprovoked" to "sexually unrestrained" to "Play" as a verb, "The gulls that wantoned in the lake" but that's archaic.

In my location, the crime is called reckless endangerment which is a class D felony with a maximum sentence of seven years in prison.
