Chhattisgarh Man Ties, Beats Wife, Shaves Her Head; Forces Her To Drink Urine

A man from Chhattisgarh was arrested for brutally assaulting and tonsuring his wife's head in front of their children. The woman, in her mid-30s, reported that her husband had assaulted her while intoxicated, using threats and physical violence. , Crime News, Times Now

The guy was obviously a religious zealot. "Tonsuring" is a religious practice specifically where you cut most of their hair off and shave it leaving a ring of hair, ya know... The way Christian monks are often seen in paintings or in movies, with just a ringlet of hair. The oil is part of it too but, in Hinduism, this ceremony is done as an act of purification, removing past impurities & to bless the devotee with a long, healthy life. It's not usually performed on adults though.
I guess drunk hubby likes to play at being her spiritual bully. 😠

OMG so it's only supposed to be done to 'non' adults? That makes it even worse. I'm really starting to believe in the theory that Earth was a bare planet that was populated by aliens and peeps from another planet, except there's a bunch of us civilized humans that came from a planet different than where the shit skins came from. They came from the planet Turdanus and are a breed made up of rejected beings from the shittier parts of the universe. - hey it's a theory anyway.

Yup. The Hindus generally only do that tonsuring to little kids like no more than 4 years old I believe and maybe only boys too but, you'd have to ask a hindu cleric who knows more & there's probably sectarian differences from region to region. Pretty strange thing to do to your wife no matter what.

The more strange behavior I witness from humans all over the planet, as I get older & older, the more I'm convinced the human species has hardly evolved from caveman days & we weren't even Homo sapiens yet.
