On September 12, 2025, in Jiangsu province, located in eastern China, a video showed a horse-riding amusement device at a club for children. The ride had four horse figures connected to poles that rocked back and forth. At first glance, the figures looked lifelike, complete with manes, bridles, and reins. But each horse body was missing its legs, leaving only the torso attached to the machine. The eerie design confused many passersby. Chinese netizens admitted that, at a quick glance, the figures looked like injured real horses. Some viewers even described the sight as frightening for kids."

To every dumbfuck who responded:

These are movie props, and probably not chinese. Not intended for kiddie rides.
I agree with you that highly likely these mechanical horses were not originally *intended* to function as a divertissement for kids, but perhaps the particular enterprise mentioned, so the, quote "club for children" somehow came into the possession of the props and decided they would do fine for the club.
