Most countries have a different date annotation than the US. from the Net, quote:

"The United States is one of the few countries that use “mm-dd-yyyy” as their date format–which is very very unique! The day is written first and the year last in most countries (dd-mm-yyyy) and some nations, such as Iran, Korea, and China, write the year first and the day last (yyyy-mm-dd)."

I am from the Netherlands, so we use this format: day-month-year.
Usually I don't stop to think about it, has become force of habit to format the date that way.

Day month year makes the most sense. Smallest unit to largest.

Because of how the US formats dates, I usually write an abbreviated month, so it would be 17 Oct 2025. Very rarely use a numeral for month, to lessen confusion.

it's sorta incredible that there's not one standard for dates, driving, and stuff like that. D/M/Y is best, although i use M/D/Y

Indeed, Day-Month-Year is the more logical format...
