| A 55-year-old man, Nivaldo S.d.O., and his 19-year-old daughter, Aryane C.d.O., died on Thursday afternoon (4) after a driver fleeing the Military Police collided into the motorcycle they were riding. The case took place in the central region of Piracaia, in the interior of São Paulo. According to the PM, the car had been stolen in Santo André and its license plate was tampered with. The police tried to pull over the vehicle in Piracaia, but the 19-year-old driver, identified as Kelvin Lopes Silva, tried to escape. During the escape attempt, the car went through some lanes in the wrong direction and at high speed. The police tried to surround the car, but the man crashed the vehicle into the motorcycle and a car that was attempting to reverse out onto the road. The father and daughter were projected approximately 100 meters apart. After the collision with the vehicles, the stolen car crashed into a pole. Kelvin was arrested, and is set to be charged with double qualified homicide (possible intent), attempted murder (possible intent), tampering with license plates, receiving stolen goods, and driving without a license. |
