On Sep. 27, Spanish trapeze artist Marina Barceló, known as Marina B, aged 27, died after falling 5 meters (16 feet) during a live performance at Circus Paul Busch in Bautzen, Germany.
The experienced performer, not wearing a safety harness, fell headfirst in front of 80–100 spectators and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are investigating the incident as a workplace accident, with no foul play suspected.
