On Sep. 27, Spanish trapeze artist Marina Barceló, known as Marina B, aged 27, died after falling 5 meters (16 feet) during a live performance at Circus Paul Busch in Bautzen, Germany.

The experienced performer, not wearing a safety harness, fell headfirst in front of 80–100 spectators and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are investigating the incident as a workplace accident, with no foul play suspected.

Well it looks more like she fell on her side and slammed her head pretty good.

Probably (at least) a significant Pelvic fracture, which can cause massive internal blood loss and ruptures.

Also if she slammed her head pretty good, all it takes is a weak or torn cranial vessel to cause a slow leak and, by the time she arrived to the hospital, she could have died from that.

Internal stuff we can’t see and it takes a few minutes sometimes for catastrophic damage to take effect.

I honestly wouldn't want to fall 15 ft myself but I don't think it's that high compared to some of these other falls.
