So after returning home from a trip to trinity County this morning I walk back out to my truck to unload some things and what do I find?
Some Mexican strapping on his back a back pack full of my tools! Let me just say I've been waiting a long time to catch this rat and today was my lucky day.
When I realized it was futile trying to catch him on foot since he was on a bike I promptly about faced it, jumped in my truck and proceeded to run this POS down!
Starsky and hutch would've been proud! I didn't want to kill him with my truck so I only flattened him out a little then the wiser part of me elected to dial 911. With my luck had I not done so I'd have been the one catching the beef fo assault, battery, attempted murder or any other thing they could've come up with.
After the law showed up and got my story they asked mellowed he get so messed up and what happened to his bike, did I hit him?"
My response was classic, Why no officer, all I did was to impede his direction of travel with the front of my truck. As for the taco looking bike well, that must've happened when he was going down and all the weight of my tools in my back pack just folded them rims right on out from under neath him.
Sorry I didn't get pics for you guys, the adrenaline rush had me a little to jacked to think that far ahead.
Cops said the guy was a wanted crook and complimented me on my handy work. This guy had been working our neighborhood for quite some time.

I took the liberty of depicting the scene as it appeared in my mind. There's you in the truck flipping off the mangled Mexican after you made him into a road pancake. ๐Ÿ˜

Poor Mexican, you shouldโ€™ve offered him food.
As a christian, if someone throws a rock at you, you should throw a piece of bread back.

Not only is it a 'classic' reply it's exactly what cops want to hear.

Were the police able to get your neighbor's stolen things back to them?
I got my things back this time luckily as for the neighbors things that were stolen prior, no
your lucky they didn't hold your tools as evidence.
stealing tools is like stealing the food of a mans plate, if they are quality tools that is, otherwise the thief might be doing you a favor.
Snap on, Mac and a few craftsman.
As crazy as it sounds what I said is exactly the way it went down. I couldn't dream up a story like that. This guy didn't resist because he was too fucked up to run. Before the sheriff's deputies arrived, if I see him out anywhere I was going run him down again.
The icing on the cake is I'm getting a side job repairing the home owners brick walkway and getting paid to do it!

Good for you Ranman.
Locally here a guy hears his construction van start and leave. He hops in his car, dials 911, catches up to the guy and his van. Keeping some distance as to not alarm the thief.
911 REFUSED to engage the police. Then demanded he" back off. " Or face charges himself endangering the public.

The guy did as told. He is a single dad. Raising two girls, 8 and 11 . He was self employed and struggling. He did not have his tools insured. Never saw the van or tools again. His loss $15,000 , tools alone.
On a happier note, the story below the victim said F**K YOU !! He shot and killed the two punks who tried to steal his money from his car. That's the good. The bad, well once again the very f***ed up system enters the picture.
