So Birmingham council said that British and St George’s flags should be removed because they can cause distress, and also said they would not remove a Palestinian flag because it could cause trouble
Bearing in mind Friday was VJ Day and Indian Independence Day, and Thursday was Pakistan Independence Day, councils did wish happy Independence Day but I didn’t hear anything about VJ Day 🤷‍♂️

Back in the 80’s far right (proper ones not the not left of today) groups used the Union flag and St George’s in their literature, and has been deemed racist since then, but yes one demographic has been asking it to be removed in public more and more, yes they wanna get rid of Churchill statues in London, as he’s seen as a racist, and they have been pushing putting up black statues or LGBQT ones,
