games Game suggestions please

That name rings a bell. Is there a bit near the beginning when you have to escape from a hanging cage? If so I played it on amiga. Must be very old. I remember being stuck on it
Abe’s Oddysee was on PS1 and pc back in the day, it’s been rereleased on newer consoles. I remember struggling with it when I was a kid. You’re a grey-skinned goofy looking creature trying to escape from a prison/factory thing, you have to free other people along the way. If I remember right the enemies were alien cyborg things. It was like a side scrolling platformer/puzzle game.

That was it. Do you hear them say what sounds like "machooba" often?! It's one of my big memories. I liked it. I remember the character being likeable.
I'll Google it.
Thanks

I was thinking of Another World. I got mixed up. I remember it as being something I really wanted to get into but it was hard. It was re released on switch a few year ago. That has the cage hanging and the "machoobas"!
I'd like to try it on xbox

this webseries is really great.

Co-Ops been dead in favor of battle royale games and other live streamer niches for awhile. There haven't been any great co-op games in a looong time as far as i can tell.

Borderlands 2 is all time fav, starting with part 1 is optional. Any further involvement with the series at your own discretion.

The Co-Op in the Halo Series can be amusing

Both Left4Dead's are great but the first one has more of a random element. Spiritual Sequel coming out as Back4Blood this year that looks very promising.

You can play Half-Life and Half Life 2 Co-Op using Sven-Co Op or Synergy. Both of those mods are free on the steam store as long as you own the base games. But i'd suggest making sure you're hosting your game locally and not playing with others outside your household cause they will rush through everything.

Minecraft on down time, Maybe with HIs/Her themed mods to expand difficulty and add more building choices. It's not as kiddy when you got tornados and freak storms destroying yer shit while you're being chased by satyrs. Or just the Snapshots to try the new content before it's released.

I enjoyed a lot about Cyberpunk 2077 despite the reviews but i guess there are plans for multiplayer down the line.

The Original Dungeon Defenders, the remasters and sequels all seem to have mixed reviews. Original is a lot of fun.

Killing Floor and Killing Floor 2. They are killing floor.

Mostly Anything Serious Sam. Serious Sam series is great for mindless shooting and antics especially if you fuck with the rule set which i recommend doing, and you can typically pick them up pretty cheap and in whatever order it's all bullshit anyway pew pew.

Zombie Panic Source! This game is fucking stupid. But it's free and it amuses me at least once or twice a year.

I like to game! Like hardcore
I try not to forget about the older games
Zombies on Blacks ops 2. Even though it is older it is still fun. You can still find regular lobbies that are not modded. Along with ghosts is pretty cool and the old Splinter Cell games but I literally I SUCK bad

World War Z zombie game is fun co op.

i like FPS games and narrative games like The Suicide of Rachel Foster Or Wh
at Remains Of Edith Finch if you ever want to take a break for a solo, narrative driven atmospheric experience type games

Untitled Goose Game - kicks big dicks

Resident Evil 5 without the monsters and sci-fi/horror plot. Better graphics and more enemies just not zombified versions. Maybe even set in UK/USA Streets too. More killing methods too.

If the OP or anyone else is still interested in co-op, try out the Ghost Recon Wildlands/Break Point games. They have that empty late game feeling that a lot of Ubisoft stuff like Farcry has but until you get there, there's lots of fun to be had in clearing out bases and unlocking things. It's pretty much like Farcry but with a tighter, more tactical feel to it. They aren't super good games but they are passable time sinks.

Lately, I just played RE7 for the first time. I slept on this thing for ages. Don't. It's fucking great. Like really great. If you think it's going to be one of those horror games where you are helpless and have to hide from some unkillable monster all the time, it's not like that at all. There are a few short segments where it is sorta like that but mostly, it's good old Resident Evil. I had way more fun with it than the RE2 remake.

Just looking for suggestions on some fun co-op games . In strict lockdown here so going out is currently not an option and me and the dude have started co-op gaming more . Hes really good at all games a nerd type. Me , Im a bit shit to average. ( he has every single console ever from a speak and spell to ps5) but we have 2 pcs in the same room, and 2 switchs so can local co-op too

So far weve played Sea of Thieves, and have pretty much done everything in that and just wait for updates, totally love the game
Wow ( I find wow a bit boring and easy and it looks like shit)
Elder Scrolls, too easy and repetitive
Portal2
Payday2
lfd2
gta5
Don't starve together
pacify
sven coop bag of wank but he loves that shit

There are more but just platformy stuff like battle block theatre, which are great fun, but Im needing something more open worldy, fighty, explory , puzzly even..

currently playing far cry 5 and almost done ( have got 6 ordered) I think this game is fucking wonderful and I d love something similar. I think fc5 is so much fun and so immersive and would love something similar, open world.. where you can fight or can search for stuff etc etc

must be compatible with rum. any suggestions most welcome . Thanks <3
Would recommend the forest

Skyrim is a really well managed game I played with for a long time, It's an exellent game
But Payday 2 is extremely boring and it’s like we’ve fallen 15 years back in time with that graphics engine
GTA5 was extremely popular in gamer circles back a few years ago so I decided to buy it too.
It was a big mistake to buy it, despite the many good reviews in my opinion the story of a one-plane boring game, GTA Vice City or GTA San Andreas or GTA 4 is much better built, much better gaming experience and fun to play with it
GTA V has a pre-written story which has been extremely boring in my opinion, there are no missions other than the only one main missions, playable minor idiot side missions

A way out is co-op about doing a prison break and being on the run watching each others backs and solving problems together

Dude if you like wrestling. Fire pro wrestling world. Diablo 3.

No one is going to mention RUST?

For local co-op, RTS's like AOM, AOE, COH are great fun.

If you're up for some good ol' couching, you should try Binding of Isaac. The Repentance update added true co-op.
