FYI Giant sloth hibernation burrows have been found over previous 20 years.

this I found interesting. These guys have been extinct for 10 000 years but their burrows live on. they were killed off when humans reached the Americas. The same super conservation minded indian 'elders' who killed off all the fucking horses before they figured they could be ridden....

When I was in the basement archives of the Smithsonian in Washington D.C. a few years back I had the privledge of seeing their stash of giant sloth droppings they keep in a cabinet down there. Apparently the sloth that made them lived in a cave out in the south west so its droppings stayed intact for thousands of years.

The museum didn't even keep them in a bag, just had this big metal container filled to the brim, and it stunk! It smelled like moldy dried out shit, which makes sense as that was indeed what it was - 50,000 year old shit. They looked kinda like horse droppings. That is my only real life experience with Giant Sloths.

Apparently being mega fauna they were responcible for eating and dispersing the large seeds of plants that have since gone extict. I believe the Joshua Trees are the only extant species of plant that still exist as a direct result of the actions of the Giant Sloth eating and crapping out their seeds.

Edit: I just confirmed, the current extent of all existing Joshua Trees comes from their seed dispersal 13,000+ years ago by the Giant Sloth. Their range has, and continues, to contract ever since the extinction of the sloth 13,000 years ago, and will continue to shrink as a result. We are still seeing the consequences of the extinction on the Giant Sloth, that's insane if you think about it.

That's interesting about the odure. It seems as though after 10 000 years it was still biologically active.

if the ice keeps melting maybe dinosaur eggs chilling in it will hatch and re-start the species,
or maybe a long-dormant virus germ will become active and kill us, the possibilities are endless.

NO mega-fauna on CONUS BECAUSE OF the Flood. When the "fountains of the deep" broke open, the artesians were under THOUSANDS of tons of pressure from boiling temps inside the earth as it was WRENCHED by a passing "comet" (Venus, actually-the "sound" exceeding 160db acoustic pressures, would INSTANTLY turn any carbon based animal into a gelatinous goo in a tenth of a second). These underground oceans were flung INTO sub-orbital heights and were FLASH frozen as ice sheets 2000 miles wide, a mile THICK, weighing trillions of tons.
THAT, SLAMMED back down ONTO the Americas, crushing EVERYTHING into a one cell wide puddle of goo. That was swept all away when the ice sheets flash melted 3200 years later when the "debris field' swung back around and pelted the earth AGAIN (Younger-Dryas), and that is the tales from pre-history and comets and bad tidings, etc.

No mega fauna because of dumb Indian niggers killing it.

Never read about the flash flooding to orbital heights.

You need a med review.
