I disagree. The bottom plate fell off dropping the rounds, spring, and follower. The body of the magazine is still intact in the mag well and that is what holds the slide open on the last shot. The pistol doesn't know that the mag is gutted, it just knows that it's empty. This video is the result of a mechanical failure of the magazine, not the firearm itself. I do still agree that it is careless to reach into an open action in this case.
