Serious Has anyone ever come across a dead body? If so what happened / what did you feel?

I used to have frequent dreams coming across a body in the woods while running from something. The feelin was horrible especially at age 16 leaning over that man, helpless in both directions. Recently I had a similar dream with the same dreadful feeling in my gut. Figured at 21 I would be over that.
Anyways has me wondering if anyone had a real life encounter. How it made them feel and what circumstances were.

Full time fireman come across them all the time. But there was a time I was driving with my wife and we past a person laying on stairs that looked sus. Drove by again an hour later and it was crime scene and they covered the body.

I saw a jumper moments after he hit the ground. I heard screams and they drew my attention to where he landed. I approached just in case there was anything that could be done to save him, but he was far too broken and twisted; so I walked away since there was already a crowd forming and gawking and I didn't want to be one of them. I didn't feel anything. I just wondered what had brought him to that level of desperation, and I remember how his body looked like it was made of jelly, like his bones no longer gave his body the shape they were supposed to (because they weren't doing so any longer).

When I first got interested in my morbid fascination it was due to the 9/11 jumpers. Watching the videos and hearing the sounds of people hitting the roofs / grounds the firefighters were under still sticks with me. I cant imagine being in a position to hear that sound and see that in person

9/11 was pretty sad to witness live on tv. I remember watching the footage all day, but the jumpers falling to their demise was definitely the most tragic part of that day, since their deaths were the most visible.
I had a girlfriend who worked as an oral historian for the 9/11 Memorial and she used to interview survivors and family members of decedents. Every person had a story. It was an emotionally tough job but she had the temperament and sincerity for it. She used to share all sorts of random and little-known information about various people that were affected by the occurrences of that day. It was always fascinating.

As far as my experience went, I really only heard the sound of witnesses screaming as it happened. From what I read in the newspaper the next day, he had jumped from the 7th or 8th floor (I forget which). His body actually wasn't gory, just completely broken internally.

Still gory or not its a life lost. Im fine watching it i dont know why, probably been desensitized to it because growing up on the internet it's always been pushed for some reason but seeing it in person is another level most cant handle
