has anyone watch the long walk? (spoliers!)

i watched it about two weeks back with my cousin and its kind of filling my thoughts a little too much </3 btw i have NEVER read the book before but im currently waiting on the library to have a book available for me to borrow. theres no way im buying another book thats like 40 bucks when i have no space for it on my desk.

the summary for the movie made it seem so boring and essentially just: walk or die. i made fun of my cousin for picking such a movie but i left the cinema a sobbing mess bro... there wasnt too much gore but it was just enough to compliment the emotional scenes that would come with certain deaths/monologues. the broken ankle one actually made me feel squeamish, had to sit up in my seat when the camera panned to his foot ;;

im thinking a lot about gary barkovitch as a character and hes lowkey just a boyloser who barely had proper social interaction with other people (as seen in their introductions when they laughed at him for saying meemaw). hes literally in my head guys.

ARRGHHH!!! but like the point here is i gotta find more people who like the long walk because people in tiktok are just talking about the gore... i wanna find people who wanna discuss the characters!!!! >×<

no im autistic and only watch law and order svu and it can't be episodes earlier than season 15 or later than season 19 except for two episodes from season 22

Not yet but I do know the ending massively deviates from the book - which is a shame because the book is one of my all time SK faves; read it many many times.
I'll still go and watch it, I want to see if it captures the atmosphere, and the characters, of how I imagine when reading the book.

I read the book years ago and on paper it was an amazing book. I havent seen the movie but the book was fantastic.

I read the Steven King book years ago. There's not enough character development in it to lead to too many discussions though...

That scene in the novel when they tried to fuck those girls in less than a minute was pretty funny. The story is extremely easy to adapt into a movie or miniseries. King is a leftists retard but a lot of his stories are pretty cool. Lets hope there is a good adaptation of the Dark Tower someday especially the first 4 volumes.

Agree re King and his spastic political ideologies... but some of his work is truly brilliant. Unfortunately much of it is sub ordinary in film format.

Would love to see quality productions of the Dark Tower, along with Black House and Revival.

yea!! i got a spoiler for the book's ending and for that barkovitch's death in the book was a little different. he must've had strong fingernails to be digging into himself like that....
