(EL UNIVERSAL ) - A young man nearly died after falling more than 30 meters while trying to throw a train rail into the void in the municipality of Atoyac, Veracruz.
Although the events occurred on November 3rd, the fall of the young man from Santa Ana Atzacan, which was videotaped, went viral on social media this Tuesday.
The victim, identified as 19-year-old Jesús Eduardo Pérez Vallejo, arrived -along with his friends- at the Pensil Tunnel area, where he began to move one of the rails to throw it into the ravine.
His friends started joking with him and warning him that "death would pull him down," however, he ignored them and continued moving the heavy rail until he fell into the void.
The young man was rescued by Civil Protection personnel and was reported to be out of danger."
