I climbed mount Snowdon

I climbed Mount Washington (New Hampshire) when I was younger. It was a great time of my life.
What age were you when you did that? - tell me the era also, im nosey...
Mountain hiking is great. I did it in the French/Spanish border region when I was younger.
First time in the '70s when been as guest in a summer camp for kids of Franco's Falange. A bit like the 'Hitler Youth', great times.
I hadn't read your post when I asked the other dude - Im hungry for info... Gj mcm

On this wikimedia page are photos of the natural reservation area we always had our camping place, it was called 'Forest of Oz' in Spanish. I haven't any photos of my past anymore.

The youth camp of the Falangists was like a camping ground for boy scouts, had only one building, an old big swimming pool, and a place for ball sports.
Rest was a natural lawn for the military-style tents. The Spanish boys had to greet the flag every morning, got trumpets to wake up, and on the march singing patriotic songs. IIRC they had political lessons too, but not much. It were the very last days of Franco's regime.
I visited the place around 12 years ago again; it's still nice and driving the mountain roads an adventure. The little camping ground that was there before got the space of the youth camp and is a bit bigger now.
