Im surprised he had brains playing chicken with a truck.

I'm not sure what led up to this, but unless the biker cut him off at the last second, it looks like the truck driver's fault.

Blind spots and dumbass scooter rider. It also appears there is no driver side mirror on the truck.
The way I see it though is it was the scooter rider's own fault for putting himself in a position for that to happen. It doesn't matter if the truck driver was negligent, drunk or drugged. By law it matters but in regard to personal safety on the road it is ultimately up to you and only you to not get run over by a giant truck while riding a tiny scooter.
