At noon this Sunday, November 23, a multiple-vehicle accident was reported in Zamora, Michoacán, leaving a preliminary toll of 3 dead and several injured.
The crash occurred near the entrance to the Palo Alto bridge, where several vehicles ended up involved, including a National Guard patrol unit.
Preliminary reports indicate that a truck turned just as the patrol car was advancing at high speed, causing the vehicle to crash into several other units located in the area.
The incident took place on Avenida Madero Norte, near the Palo Alto bridge, where a Civil Guard truck, a private vehicle, a bicycle, and a motorcycle were also damaged.
Emergency responders and security forces arrived immediately to attend to the injured and carry out initial inquiries to help clarify the cause of the accident.
So far, the death toll has not been officially confirmed, so authorities are expected to issue an updated report in the coming hours.
Unofficial versions indicate that among the fatalities were a woman and two minors who were traveling in the truck involved in the accident.
Currently, it is reported that three people were injured and transported to a hospital for medical attention. The Zamora Regional Prosecutor's Office is already working in the area to conduct the corresponding investigations, remove the bodies, and transport them to the Forensic Medical Service.
A video circulating on social media shows the exact moment the patrol car reportedly impacted the truck. In the images, it can be observed how, due to the force of the collision, the passengers, including two minors, were ejected from the vehicle, causing their instant death.
