A cat “in his late 20s” proved he is not getting older, just better after chasing off a fox that had grabbed a chicken at a farm in upstate New York over the summer.
Jen Merriman’s Ring camera recorded the moment a fox nabbed one of her chickens in her driveway in Potsdam, New York, on June 15.
The fox was trying to escape with the bird when Merriman’s over-20-year-old farm cat, Noodles, started chasing the fox. It dropped the chicken, which ran away to safety while Noodles kept the fox at bay.
Merriman told Storyful that the chicken survived that day, but a few weeks later, several of her birds were missing.
“We still have the majority of our flock thanks to him,” Merriman said of Noodles.
