movies Last Movie You Watched..

Some old, Some new:

Inception: 9/10 - Very well-written but if you so much as take a piss break, you could be lost forever.

Sorcerer's Apprentice: 7.5/10 - Cheesy at times (It is Disney, after all) but surprisingly good special effects and some good humor at times.

The American: 3/10 - I had high hopes for this one as I'm a huge George Clooney fan. The story is tired and overdone. The plot isn't creative at all and the entire movie plays out way too slowly and throws in gratuitous Bond-babe-like women's tits here and there.

Machete: 6.5/10 - Not a huge Robert Rodriguez fan to begin with but wanted to see what all the hub-bub was all about. Was actually more worth watching than The American. The acting was less than stellar and the special effects were not but the purposefully-overdone gore made up for it. It just seems like more work went into it than most would think. Gratuitous nudity thrown in for those that need/require it.

Rust: 2/10 - I came across this one written, directed and produced by Corbin Bernsen, who I kinda like, and had reserved high hopes for its potential. It moved way too slow and I gave up on it halfway through. The likely $12.50 USD spent on actors/actresses' salaries shows.

Case 39: 7/10 - Somewhat overdone type of plot but gave it a few more "stars" for effort. Good special effect here and there if ya look at just the right time. The young girl acts fairly decently as well.

The Unborn: 8/10 - Actually, surprisingly good for a horror flick. The special effects artists made attempts to be a little bit different than the norm at times and it had a good result. Some of the plot is old school but I thought it was pretty well done. It's hard to impress me on horror movies anymore.

A Beautiful Mind: 9/10 - Old news to most but I had never seen it. Russell Crowe did an awesome job playing a college professor with Schizophrenia. It gives insight into what those with Schizophrenia go through and how this one, for one, overcame it and achieved amazing goals. Well worth a look if ya like movies based on true stories and appreciate good acting.

That's all I have for now but I watch movies constantly and lately have been looking for older movies I never watched but now will. I've likely forgotten some I've seen and if I remember 'em, I'll post 'em in case you're like me and go back and see one ya passed up when it came out originally.
