movies Last Movie You Watched..

Why the hell do they attemt to remake classic films? I cannot think of one remake that was on par or better than the original...
either they ran out of ideas for new stuff, or people just like shiny graphics lol, but i agree they need to stop killing the greats

Yes, it is. I went against my will, I figured I had seen enough on that subject, but it was really good. Go see it. :)
I saw Paul Giamatti on a recent episode of The Colbert Report. He was promoting the film and they showed a clip and it looked like it would be a very good movie. It's based on Vincent Bugliosi's book 'Reclaiming History: The Assassination of JFK'. I have that book but haven't read it yet. Have you read it?

I don't think they're killing the greats whenever Hollywood shits out a terrible remake of a classic movie. Really, Hollywood is just embarrassing itself when that happens. It's typically just a cash grab. The remakes take nothing away from the original movies. The classic movies will always be great.

well i can't argue with the logic there besides it's better to think that hollywood are embarrassing themselves anyway isn't it lol, but i suppose all the classics will live on, enough people out there still prefer them

I have not, but this movie inspired me...I plan on reading it.

ot: Just saw Captain Phillips. I really enjoyed it, though it has been taking some flak from the real crew about authenticity. I don't care...was very entertaining.

The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones

Having read all of the books in this series (hell, I have 4 daughters, lol), I thought that this first movie was pretty good. The movie follows right along with the first book and it wasn't such a tweenie-girl movie that many have laid it out to be. Good acting and special effects.

Okay so as a fan of Childs Play movies I decided to watch the new one "THE CURSE OF CHUCKY"

Honestly I'm glad I watched it because it wasn't all slasher. It had the feel of the first child's play and felt really old school.

Plus it fills in gaps throughout the Chucky time-line.
