I agree can't make the 80's version any better. But that one was also a remake. This will be just another version of the same story. I'll give it a try as i do most remakes and shit on it if it sucks.

Watched it with the kids. They loved it, it wasn't bad, but Jackson has gone back a step with special effects. LoTR's were better and a decade or more ago. Still, on a par with LoTR's but this incarnation is no longer the beloved child's story it once was.
