Some Chinese movie that I'm embarrassed to have spent almost 2 hours watching when I could have been out walking the dog.

The whole movie didn't make any sense until the end.

Not a troll from middle earth, but it does look like one.
It was a creature created on superman's home planet, Krypton, as a doomsday weapon, (in fact that's it's name). It's sole purpose was to kill the inhabitants of Krypton, superman was the last one. In the late 1990's it did just that in the comic book.
Did the movie suck?
Like a super massive black hole.

Just answering the question you posted. The movie was enuff to make a person want to ask for their money back, if they had not downloaded it from a torrent site. Yes i don't catch the sarcasm all the time. I didna think you were a sarcastic type person.
