As much as that song is funny, it's not actually accurate. Iceland does not belong to the "Ring of Fire" - that circular region of tectonic slippage and volcanic activity that surrounds the Pacific Ocean, as Iceland's vulcanism is powered by the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, and by the Iceland Magmatic Hotspot - a region of intense thermal uplift from deep within the Earth.
