Warning: Children Little dude too busy on his phone & not paying attention

Warning
In St. Petersburg, a 4-year-old boy got carried away watching a video on his smartphone and fell into an open manhole

This happened in a parking lot. The child was walking behind his parents. The manhole was fenced off only by an overturned cart and a cone. As a result, the kid took a step and fell into it.

The boy miraculously survived, but received bruises and some injuries. He is now in the hospital.

The people walk like robots and it reminded me of Metropolis,
a 1927 movie. If cell phones had been around back then,
they would have been looking at them in the movie.

You can’t blame the kid... they’re four years old. The real question is, why would any parent let a toddler walk behind them?

That child is your responsibility. If they’re not walking fast enough for you, then hold their hand.

And here’s a wild concept: be the adult and tell them to put the phone away until later.

Honestly, some people should need a license to be parents.

That was not the four-year-old's parent. It was his coworker.
