I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but Senegal was the oldest and one of the most important colonies of the Frogs. Toward the end, it was also a key recruitment area for both world wars. Senegal didn't gain independence until 1960.

It was BELGIUM vs Senegal. Senegal was ahead 2-0 with only 5 minutes to play and somehow they still managed to lose 3-2. So the Senegal fans are attacking the Belgium fans.
