Murder Machine: From the mouth of the man who lived it

Richard kulklenski ...

Now that Cat was off-the-hook and yes, even the Murder Inc. type guys
kept one eye open around him.

This guy is a fraud.

He's done some murders but everything he says he did involving the Mafia is a load of shit.

None of his stories have ever been corroborated by any of the Mafia guys he claims to have associated with that took deals. At that point they have no reason to lie. They have to tell everything or else they eat all the charges in the deal if something comes up they knowingly failed to disclose.

He was a scary and dangerous man who killed people but he's a big story teller. By the time he was featured on HBO's "The Iceman Cometh" I had already read up on these guys and crimes he mentioned in several books and not once was his name mentioned.

I remember watching that and wondering why he was never mentioned. He claimed he was nearby as back up when Paul Castellano was killed and that he was the one who killed Roy DeMeo.

He was a disappointment. It was almost like discovering that there is no Santa Claus.

YEP ... Mixed Feelings on the subject.
He definitely took out numerous folks, charged and sent to prison to spend the rest of his life, locked up.
His own brother was serving time at the same facility, but they had nothing to do with each other, reportedly.

Where he lost me (on validity of facts) was his claimed High Body Count of around/maybe more (200 people) - his words.
He was known to Brag, that's how he got caught on tape and how he got taken down. I wouldn't call him a Fraud, but he was
very prone to embellishment. It got worse as the in-prison Docu-series progressed beyond the 1st one.

He lived in way too nice a house/neighborhood to not be making stacks of cash doing something - and Killing seems to be
the Only Thing he was good at. He was literally so bad at Business ... that every Business Partner he ever had = he ended up
needing to Kill, to extract himself from the Dumpster Fire - failed results.

The non fiction Selwyn Raab books about the New York/New Jersey crime syndicates are most excellent. Atlantic City was built on the Cash these guys were able to generate. From Wildwood to Brighton Beach every flavor of Vor participated.
