I’ve never understood this perspective, I personally didn’t think his reprisal was worthy of the accolades bestowed upon him. Felt like much of it was due to his untimely death, rather than his acting portrayal.

There are a few, but the first one that came to mind was Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday.

I haven't cared for any of the Jokers since. Corny as fuck renditions. I won't go on a complete tangent, but I wish movies would do a "one and done" with decent movies, leave them the hell alone, and stop trying to find ways to change characters/plots.

Better is subjective. I actually preferred Joaquin phoenixs portrayal, the more sociopathic nature and ‘reasons’ behind the joker.
