The sad thing is their entire nation only exists because China needs a buffer zone between itself and South Korea should the USA ever try to invade the Chinese mainland through the Korean Peninsula. Remember in the Korean war we pushed so far north we were skirting the Chinese border and China was pissing itself. They only survived because they litteraly sent wave after wave of peasant soldiers to their deaths, dying at a 10 to 1 ratio, which was completely unsustainable and we could easily have won had we not given the same amount of fucks about human life as the Chinese communist party. Remember this was at a time when the CCP was so week that they couldn't even feed their population and people were dying of famine. They only survived because they had the Soviet Union holding their hand.
