Police ~NYPD Cop Breaks Leg Jumping From Helicopter~

"A NYPD detective plunged from a helicopter — clinging to a rope that wasn’t secured — during training at the police academy in Queens Thursday afternoon, and “snapped his leg in half,” police said.

Video of the fall, obtained by The Post, shows the police officer grab onto a rope to slide down from the chopper around 11:20 a.m.

But the rope either came loose or wasn’t attached to anything leaving sending the cop hurtling down to the ground from what appears to be 15 or 20 feet."

First of all... how do you forget to tie off the rope in an exercise involving said rope?

AND SECOND... what moron ok'd TWO helicopters to hover so close together over what appears to be the very small infield of a running track?!!!!

JFC...

THIRD of all... rope not tied dudes pilot, seems a bit unsteady at the sticks considering he's hovering not 50 fucking yards from another chopper.
Them rotor blades tap the ground, more that rope not tied dudes leg will be busted up.

JFC, again!!!

Ha ha fookin great shame he didn't break his neck. They train your cops like they are in the army so they can fuck you all up. Why the fuck would a detective need to learn to jump from choppers? Ha lol SAS

Was that idiot trying to repell down? He fell like a sack of shit.

How can those choppers stay flying if the rotor is spinning so slowly?
They're spinning faster than the video appears. Know how sometimes you can look a fan and sorta not focus on the blades and see them for a brief moment?
Same idea with videos, the blades are moving so fast the cam only gets a glimpse of the blades, making them appear to be moving slower.

That and lift plus air = hover.
