disaster Oil Drill Rig Going Out Of Commission

Interestingly The First Oil Well In The USA Was In Pennsylvania
Yes. I think you're right. I recently read 'The Prize', about the history of oil. I think I posted it in 'Literature' as a review.

The history of oil/gas/coal/energy is fascinating to me. Without access to energy in massive quantaties there would have been no industrial revolution and we'd now all still be leading horses pulling ploughs and no where near a chemically powered engine, steam or internal combustion.

When you look at that pipe coming out of the ground like a fountain the idea of that much pressure is eye boggling. I've never worked in oil and have no idea of how many psi's we're looking at here but I bet it's a fair bit.

By way of a base line, the Titan implosion was in the order of 6000 psi.

I will say hes a better cameraman than most given the circumstances
The companies rarely ever release any footage so, glad he recorded it. I like how slowly he is super far away but recorded the entire time, just like had viewers been there we'd all hope to be far away too if that happens. 😳 Working in the oil industry is dangerous work my granddaddy said & I believe it!
