This other video is a famous 9/11 jumper clip called "lamppost guy" which at the 3 second mark you can see in the background some red mist from a jumper hitting a lamp post hence the name. Anyways that clip is the closest we get to seeing a 9/11 jumper hit on impact (from my knowledge).

Steve Irwin was a really good person. He sacrificed his privacy & some of his sanity to bring advocacy to conservation of ecosystems & lots of differing species. Most people that are interested in seeing exactly what happened when he suddenly died in a shocking manner mean no disrespect to his family. I don't but, I still would like to see what happened.
I imagine because almost his entire immediate family is fairly famous themselves, they know this. He/they weren't without their critics themselves though (before he died), as some thought what he did was invasive, exploitative, & reckless- which it kind of was, even if it was for a good cause. PETA was the main one & some conservation organizations who had specifically stated he encouraged unnecessarily risky behavior & he often "harassed" animals & mishandled them so, it shouldn't be a shocker if they were smug when this happened.
If they asked for the footage to prove their point, that'd be wrong but, they're in the minority as to why people want to see it pretty sure.

Idk if it is or isn't a person and if that's blood going everywhere (@~20 seconds on the clip I posted 40 minutes ago) but, the truer controversy used to be not about whether or not it's a person but, was the zoomed in portion from the same date & time. There are some things that cannot be authenticated when it comes to videos so, I guess unless you were there and took the footage yourself, you'll never know. I know this, lots of people, Americans, persons that were loved, died that day. 💔😢😭
