Serious Passenger jet with 64 aboard collides with Army helicopter while landing at Reagan Airport near DCARLINGTON, Va.

ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) — A jet carrying 60 passengers and four crew members collided Wednesday with an Army helicopter while landing at Ronald Reagan National Airport near Washington, prompting a large search-and-rescue operation in the nearby Potomac River.

There was no immediate word on casualties or the cause of the collision, but all takeoffs and landings from the airport were halted as helicopters from law enforcement agencies across the region flew over the scene in search of survivors. Inflatable rescue boats were launched into the Potomac River from a point along the George Washington Parkway, just north of the airport.

Has anyone gotten any good footage of the aftermath?

Really wasn't much to see, the plane went down into the Potomac. All of the passengers would've been buckled in. Probably not much in the way of mangled bodies, the plane was mostly intact when it went down. The bulk of the passengers likely drowned.

most of them are kids...can't even imagine the fear they felt when the chopper collided with them😞
Most.of them were kids? Where'd you hear that?

The Helo pilot acknowledged 'visual separation' rules from ATC of flight 5342, meaning the onus was on the helo to stay clear & that he had seen the aircraft, the aircraft he saw & was maintaining VS from was probably the aircraft behind the jet he hit, which is why he thought he had plenty of room, the landing lights of flight 5342 being 'blurred out' from the city lights, it was a shitty night as well.

"There were multiple fatalities, according to a person familiar with the matter, but the precise number of victims was unclear as rescue crews hunted for any survivors."

Things don't look good for any survivors if the resuce teams are 'hunting' them... Jesus Christ!
