animals are better than people, i have learnt that in my life..
Elephants are also suuppper smart, this one is probably going to remember these people for life .
Let me see if I read this correctly - they gave the mama elephant the tranquilizer, then she fainted, then they performed CPR. I doubt sincerely that they were able to compress that elephant's heart, but it's probably a good thing. I was taught that doing chest compressions on a beating heart could possibly stop it from beating.

I think they might have caused it in the first place. Certain vet tranquilizers can cause severe cardiovascular depression, when they OD. I wonder if they didnt give her the average amount for an adult elephant female, but she's probably been there for a long time trying to get at her young, and not actually maintaining that.
I understand it's rough, you can't just carry an elephant and stand on a scale like with a pet dog, and if you under do it, you have an intoxicated giant animal that is probably more dangerous than if she was just sober. But they still really fucked it if my guess is right.
