Phone Tracing for the Average Joe (Is it Possible)?

Long story short, someone owes me $200 for some herbal tea, the address given to me is an address where he no longer resides. I realise the amount is very little ($200 Australian Dollars).
To start with, you're a dogshit herbal tea seller to be selling your tea on credit.

As for the tracing (although what you really meant is tracking), unless you previously had an app installed on your tea smoker's drinker's phone then no, you won't be able to track them unless of course you have someone on the inside at the phone company. And since disclosing a tea drinker's mobile information is an excellent way to get fired I doubt you're going to be able to buy someone off given the $ currently at stake.

Been blocked on social media and via mobile and he has disappeared off the map, I gave him a couple of days grace to get his shit together but it's not happening.

I'm assuming I've just been burned, and have to let it go, for me it's not the monetary value but the disrespect to think you can do this shit and get away with it. '

As a last resort wondering if any of you intelligent folks know of a way to trace a phone to give you a pinpoint location?

Sorry to air dirty laundry, and admin delete if not allowed.
chances are,its a burn phone. and the only thing your gunna see from him is his ass,as he high-tails it outta there!

Cash app me $200 dollars and I'll tell you how... promise!

If anything he probably doesn't have the phone number anymore if you know his full name and birthday you have a better chance of tracing him down .

Damn, not this pussy and his complaints again.

I should have been more precise, I am the one short $200 and have no herbal tea (I am the customer, not the seller). I either want my herbal tea, or $200 back.

Well I don't think I want the cops involved, and I'm in Queensland Australia. Only 200,000 people where I live, so sooner or later I'll bump into the little c%nt, I just hope when I do I don't have a work uniform on
I recommend you start carrying a long handled shovel and a bag of lime in your boot for when the time comes.

If you are in FNQ on the coast then it may be possible just to pop him in the creek and let the crocs sort his disappearance out.

I think this will be enough of a deterrent, at least for a first offence...

Make a fake social media account and save one of his selfies of him chilling at his home and look at the GPS metadata in the photo properties.

speaking of phones. i was talking with my friends wife the other day. and came up with an idea. a breathalyzer for your phone. instead of hooking up a device and blowing into s tube, its your phone. it will only work for the newer computerized cars. not your 1999 ford or toyota. but a current one.
just down load an app and make a call to a number so you have to talk into the phone. it will detect/pick up trace amount of alcohol. and your car wont start.
like i said. just an idea "off the cuff". would need more elaborating and thought. but what do ya think?
Would this mean that all cell phones would need to be equipped with an alcohol sensor? I cannot see this working. There's far too many variables. You could be the sober driver and have a car full of people exhaling alcohol fumes into the car, and your phone would pick that up along with your clean breath.

Here's an article I saw today on AP that might interest you.

Now, you said something about hooking up a device and blowing into a tube. That sounds like the interlock device that is placed in cars for people convicted of drinking and driving. The think about those is that it's very difficult to bypass them unless you have someone blow into it for you.

If you're talking about an "adapter" that would plug into your phone, well, that's just doing the same thing as the current devices.

There's been many ideas proposed online regarding preventing drunk drivers from getting behind the wheel, and I can't say for sure whether your idea is unique or original. It seems that the current technology is now leaning towards the scanning of the eyes. It's apparently instantaneous and far more accurate.

I did a quick Google search and found this cellular based tester.

Sounds like you’re asking for advice on committing a felony on a public website. Congrats you are a dumb fuck!😂

Any EXIF or GeoTagging data attached to photos posted on social media platforms is scrubbed before sharing. It's the law. Otherwise, crazy ex-boyfriends would easily hunt down their ex-girlfriends. If you did the research, you'd know this already.

It's not a felony in the US to try to locate someone for the purposes of recouping a debt. In fact, if the OP really wanted to, he could file a civil claim and subpoena the debtor's phone records, which would include the GPS data. Goddamn, there's so many fucking retards on this site.
CORRECTION: My stupid ass didn't read all of the comments. So, this debt isn't actually about "herbal tea". I'm the retard.

well aint that some shit! guess i wasnt the only one to think about that.
i was told the other day,the new ev's will be equipped with a breathalyzer.
now i for one dont drink and drive. them days are over (i hope) so i dont need to worry about that nor care if its in my car. if i ever buy an ev.
now i havent done any research on it,to see how accurate the info is that was given to me. so dont hold me to it. but i cant that not being the case either. like you said, the technology.

Interestingly enough, Tesla has some very interesting research videos available where the car can simply scan your face and know if you're drunk. They don't even need your breath anymore.

Apparently, your eyes are much better at revealing intoxication than your breath. Now, if anyone starts screaming about privacy laws, here's how they'll get you: You'll buy a new car and it will come with a Terms Of Service agreement. Nobody reads those. Part of that agreement will be allowing the car to monitor your ability to operate the vehicle safely and legally.

the more technologically wise things get,the more our privacy can be infringed upon.
