It looks like that old fashioned type of plastic, melamine. That stuff was better than the plastic manufacturers use now but, I think they stopped using it because the amount of formaldehyde used to make it was too dangerous & too many factory fires & explosions happened. 😒
Now everything is made with that cheap shitty plastic usually from China that breaks more easily. 😕
