When I was a kid we called it knock a door run, sometimes we would wrap dog shit in newspaper and light it, then bang on the door and hide, then watch the owner answer and stamp on it to put it out!!In the UK as kids we called this cherry knocking.
Yeah we called it that too . I remember learning to call it cherry knocking from a kid in a caravan park whilst on holiday in Yorkshire when I was about 10.
